I bought this tent with plans to use it in high altitude camping. My first night was spent above 12,000 feet in early fall. I setup beside a small lake for the night where the temp dropped to 21 shortly after the sun had set. I slept well and was warm all night awaking to grumbles from other campers about the cold. I used this tent with a 0 degree mummy also from High Peak and had a good time.Pro's - Packs very small and lite. Works well in wind and cold. More than enough room for 1. Great people to buy from and Great customer support from manufacture. (Could not be happier on this one!) Con's - Issues with poles sticking during setup (sticky sleeves) Suggest a dry run on setup before go live to let the tent stretch out a little. Overall - Best in the price range.... This tent compares with others 3 times the price. Don't let the price fool you into thinking you are getting anything less. Very good product. I... I have owned and used this tent for over 5 years now, AND.... I LOVE IT! It does a good job keeping me dry during the rainny nights. I love how the rain fly clips right into the base of the tent. It is pretty rooms and easily sleeps two. I have had as many as 4 in this tent. Yeah... it was tight, but we stayed warm! Because it is a 4 season tent I find myself quite comfortable in the winter months. I am from Utah and have spent night in the snow many times and the tent has surely helped keep me comfortable. High Peak Enduro 4-Season TentSo far, I've camped with this tent one time for about a week. The tent was not easy to set up, but kept me warm in 30 degree F nights and the ventilation system is easy to adjust. Two of the days it rained hard, and the first day+night was completely dry but second day there was a little water present along the side seams of the floor but it still worked for me. I also used coleman seam sealer to beef up the seams of everything when I first got it. All in all, I would recommend this tent. Pros: Good value Works for all weather, but I don't know if it would support heavy snow. Nice Fly w/vestibule Cons: Difficult to set up; the poles don't slide through the sleeves very easily, and putting them into the grommets was extremely tough for one side due to the tension. |
